New Patio Plant: Euphorbia

I've seen these cool spiky plants around and found one at one of the nurseries in Seremban. It's a Euphorbia milii Des Moulins, I think. Euphorbiaceae. CN: [Malay - Pokok raja], Crown of thorns. Native of Madagsacar and panted worldwide as ornamental plant. Doesn't seem to like to much water.

  1. A good choice for the garden as they are very showy with their colourful flower bracts.

  2. You have a lovely crown of thorns plant.
Just watch out for those nasty thorns.

  3. Your Euphorbia milii looks very nice in that good-looking pot. The Crown of Thorns name is associated with that worn by Jesus. It will be extra meaningful since Christmas is just round the corner. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year 2012!

USA and have never seen such a strange and exotic plant. THANK YOU so much for posting this!! Do you have any advice on caring for them?
