I've seen these cool spiky plants around and found one at one of the nurseries in Seremban. It's a Euphorbia milii Des Moulins, I think. Euphorbiaceae. CN: [Malay - Pokok raja], Crown of thorns. Native of Madagsacar and panted worldwide as ornamental plant. Doesn't seem to like to much water.
A good choice for the garden as they are very showy with their colourful flower bracts.

ReplyDeleteJust watch out for those nasty thorns.
Your Euphorbia milii looks very nice in that good-looking pot. The Crown of Thorns name is associated with that worn by Jesus. It will be extra meaningful since Christmas is just round the corner. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year 2012!
ReplyDeleteActually, this is a beautiful plant.. looks very elegant!
